Caroline Barker

Caroline Barker moved to Laurens in 1989 and joined the staff of First Presbyterian Church Laurens in 2021 as Office and Communications Manager. Today, Caroline serves as Church Visitor, offering care, encouragement, and connection to members of the church family. Her ministry centers on visiting those who are homebound, in the hospital, or simply in need of a kind word and caring presence.

Caroline is originally from Hickory, NC. She attended Wofford College where she earned a degree in Spanish. She spent a semester studying in Madrid, Spain—an experience she still treasures today. She and her husband, Scott, have two children, Alexandra and Hampton.

Caroline loves animals of all kinds and life at home is busy with dogs, cats, chickens, and sheep. She also enjoys cooking for family and friends and going to the movies.

Guided by the blessing from Numbers 6:24–26, Caroline hopes to bring comfort, kindness, and peace to everyone she meets.
