Lud Weaver
Interim Pastor
Ludwig Weaver serves as Interim Pastor at First Presbyterian Church while the Pulpit Nominating Committee searches for the church’s next senior pastor. Before coming to Laurens, Lud served for more than three decades as Senior Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenville, South Carolina.
Lud is a native of Kentucky, a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and was named a Merrill Fellow at Harvard University. He and his wife, the Reverend Jean Diener Weaver, have two children, Kate and Zach, and five grandchildren.
When he is not serving the church, Lud enjoys spending time with family and cheering on Kentucky Wildcat basketball, something he admits never really leaves your blood if you are born in Kentucky.
